01 / The person behind the tabs
It wasn’t
a straight line.
I started organising events at fifteen. Then came comedy, production, creative services and a growing interest in how businesses actually work.
The settings changed. The questions kept coming back: how do people understand something, what makes it useful, and how do you turn that into work that actually gets done?
The longer version01First, get people into a room.
Events, stand-up and comedy shows gave me a very direct way to learn about attention. People decide whether to show up, whether to listen, and whether to come back.
An audience has very little interest in your strategy document.
02Then, get something made.
Venue marketing and ad-film production put me on the other side of the finished work: the idea, the pitch, the shoot, the edit and the client conversation.
A good idea matters. So does everything that happens after someone says, “Let’s do it.”
03Build a business around it.
Creative-services work eventually led me to specialist content, including work with surgeons. I became interested in making complex expertise understandable, and building a process that could keep doing it well.
Finding a specific audience changed the business. That work now has its own home at The Content Surgeon.
04Follow the AI rabbit hole.
Now I’m focused on researching, teaching and applying AI through Puro AI Labs. I start with work I know from the inside: content, research, production and the systems behind delivery.
When one teaches, two learn. Convenient, really.
